“Open to the Public” Department sponsored fishing programs will have Sport Fishing Instructors available to provide instructions and answer your questions about fishing. The Department will also have available for loan to the public, on a first come first serve basis, 100 rods and reels and a limited supply of bait.

Fishing Programs are free unless otherwise noted. Program dates and times are subject to change. Participants 14 years and older may fish without a State or Urban fishing license between sanctioned fishing clinic hours, as long as they register at the Arizona Game and Fish booth, located at the fishing clinic site. All participants wanting to fish before or after sanctioned fishing clinic hours, must be lawfully licensed, with the exception of blind residents and juveniles under 14 years of age (who do not need a license).

Comments: " Family Fishing Event "
The Arizona Game and Fish Department is planning a morning of free fishing for the whole family. The Arizona Game and Fish Department staff and Fishing Education instructors will be on hand to assist anglers. Bait will be provided and loaner rods will be available. Several information and education booths will be set up to teach casting, fly tying, fish identification and techniques to catch fish. Don't miss this special opportunity. If you got a new rod and reel for Christmas, we'll help you set it up for fishing and show you how to use it.

Comments: "Take A Kid Fishing Day"
This annual event is geared towards getting the family children involved in a special trout fishing event. Bait and loaner rods will be available. Department instructors and fishing club volunteers will be on hand to help you catch some great fish.

Comments: The City of Phoenix is providing this event. The Arizona Game and Fish will have loaner rods and bait available to use. Fishing licenses are not requiered during this event. There will be instructors there to ask all your questions that you have been wanting to ask about fishing.

Comments: "Just for Kids Fishing Festival"
This is the 19th Annnual "Just for Kids Fishing Festival" hosted by Anglers United. Bring your kids out Saturday March 24th 2012 from 7:00 to 1:00 PM. There will be loaner rods and bait and fishing advice from Arizona Game and Fish Department volunteers. Comments: The Sahuarita Parks and Recreation is providing this program. Their will be loaner rods and bait available. You do not need to have a fishing license during this event from 7am to noon. Insructors will be available to answer your questions.
