The Ben Avery
Shooting Facility is owned and operated
by the Arizona Game and Fish Department,
and is the largest public operated shooting
facility in the country.
Our world-class shooting
range is a city of Phoenix Point
of Pride. It has received a Five Star
rating from the National Association
of Shooting Ranges, meaning that it
is the best of the best at providing
a quality recreation experience; ours
is the first goverment-managed facility
to receive this designation. |

Men,
women and children of all ages and all experience
levels are welcome. Trained line safety
officers are on the firing line at all times
to oversee safety and to offer informal
coaching when needed.

Winter
Hours starting October 15, 2007:
Beginning October 15, 2007, the Ben Avery Shooting Facility Main Range, Archery Ranges and the Ben Avery Clay Target Center will change their winter hours of operation for the public. The new hours will be:
- Monday – Closed
- Tuesday – Closed
- Wednesday – 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Thursday – 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Friday – 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Saturday – 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Sunday – 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Summer Hours starting May 12, 2008:
- Monday CLOSED
- Tuesday CLOSED
- Wednesday 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. & 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Thursday 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. & 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Friday 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Saturday 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Sunday 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Fees
and supplies
All day shooting for adults is $5 - and $7 beginning July 1, 2008.
Youth under 18 free.
Hearing protection, spotting scopes and
targets are available. If weather appears
unstable, please call ahead as we frequently
experience range closures because of high
winds.
