Most animals can be classified into feeding groups according to the major type of food they eat: for example, seed eaters, fruit eaters, insect eaters and nectar feeders. A well-planned landscape for wildlife contains plants that provide food for each feeding group throughout the year.
To attract the greatest variety of animals, use “Plant List for Planning” (below) to choose a set of plants that together will provide each type of food all year. Include some good shelter plants. |
