Jan 4, 2008

The Emmy-award-winning Arizona Wildlife Views TV show will return to Phoenix television with 13 new episodes beginning on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008.  The program will be in the 4:30 p.m. slot on KAET Channel 8, which is the PBS station in Phoenix.

Arizona Wildlife Views is a show produced by the Arizona Game and Fish Department to help teach Arizonans about the outdoors around them as well as to inform about practices and techniques used to conserve outdoor Arizona for years to come.  Show one will include the following segments:

Pronghorn Antelope Relocation – In this action-packed segment, pronghorn antelope are rounded up using helicopters and lots of wranglers to move a portion of the herd to a new range.
Condor First Flight – From the top of the beautiful Vermilion Cliffs in northern Arizona, we watch as young California condors are released into the wild for the first time.
Bighorn Sheep Release – Desert bighorn sheep are returned to an area of Arizona that they historically called home almost 100 years ago.
