| Youth Olympic-style archery program at Ben Avery Shooting Facility Oct 16, 2007
“Participating students have exhibited marked improvements in self-esteem, confidence, self-discipline, and self-worth,” states Denise Raum, archery education coordinator, Arizona Game and Fish Department. Class dates are Thursdays Nov. 1, 8 and 15 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the archery education range of the Ben Avery Shooting Facility. The cost is $15 per archer payable at the first session via cash or check. Equipment is included as part of the program at no additional charge. Registration is required. Additionally, a course for adults interested in the sport of archery is also being offered. This program will focus on safety, range procedures, and proper archery techniques in target archery. Class dates for the adult program are Thursdays Nov. 29, Dec. 6 and 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the archery education range of the Ben Avery Shooting Facility. The cost is $30 per archer payable at the first session via cash or check. Equipment is included as part of the program at no additional charge. Registration is required.
