Brief Description – To allow an individual to release and take pen-reared birds specified on the license for the purpose of conducting a competition testing the performance of hunting dogs in one field trial event. It also allows the import or purchase within the state, possession, and transport of game birds specified on the license for one field trial event. Game birds may be possessed alive by the license holder after the field trial event until December 31 of the year the license was issued.

- Additional information: Applicants are provided with Form 2715-C [pdf, 16kb] and Form 2715-D [pdf, 512kb]. Form 2715-C [pdf, 16kb] is an aid to the applicant and should be read with and explained to the applicant by a qualified Department representative. Form 2715-D [pdf, 512kb] is a reporting form the applicant is required to submit to the Department within 30 days of holding the event. Applicants must be in compliance with and have met the criteria outlined in R12-4-415, R12-4-428, and all other applicable statutes and rules prior to issuance of a Game Bird hobby License.
