Project Evaluation Program (PEP) (about us)
If you are developing an environmental document or require evaluation of a
specific land or water project, and are in need of a SPECIAL STATUS SPECIES
(SSS) list you may submit your request through the following two
options:
1. Utilize the on-line environmental
review tool for a Special Status Species (SSS) list.
When using the on-line tool , a REVIEW RECEIPT will be generated which will
include your SPECIAL STATUS SPECIES (SSS) LIST. If after generating your
SSS list, you would like further coordination with Department staff concerning
potential impacts, environmental compliance, regulations, and/or mitigation
opportunities, please submit the following in writing:
- Cover letter
- Signed and initialed Review Receipt (or SSS list)
- Project documentation (location, map, description, etc.)
- Environmental document (if applicable)
2. Submit a request for a Special Status Species (SSS) list in writing:
a.) If your project is a larger scope than the on-line tool allows,
coordinate directly with the Project Evaluation Program for further
instructions (add contact page link here) or,
b.) If you prefer to submit your request for a SSS list via fax or mail,
please submit the following in writing:
- Project description
- Project location with legal description and/or map
- Type of environmental document that is being prepared (e.g. NEPA, ESA)
All written requests: Send all written requests to the
attention of Rebecca Davidson, Project Evaluation Program Supervisor, at the
following address and allow 30 days for processing, upon receipt by the
Department:
