  • State Symbols of Arizona – a program for fourth grade students in Arizona to introduce them to the living state symbols.

  • Exploring Arizona’s Biotic Communities– students use online resources to learn about biotic communities in order to produce a visual display.

  • Exploring Biomes– students compare biomes and biotic communities and develop an advertisement for one of the communities in Arizona.

  • Wildlife and Highway Management – an interactive analysis of research data to determine how highways can be made safer for humans and elk.

  • Mountain Lions in Arizona – an interactive opportunity for students to explore the issues surrounding the management of this major predator.

  • Wolves – a research and writing activity in which students examine the debate centering around the wolf reintroduction into southeastern Arizona.
