Reading and Writing about the Environment

The Arizona Game and Fish Department is pleased to announce a new professional development opportunity for educators. Participants will learn some techniques to improve student literacy skills while using wildlife and the environment as a context. Both fiction and non-fiction will be used to engage participants. Activities will be designed for a wide range of grade levels.

The workshop is FREE and open to all educators. It will be held at the new Biscuit Tank and Conservation Education Building at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility. It will take place on Saturday, April 20 from 9am until 3pm. Participants will receive six hours of continuing education for their time.
