Frequently Asked Questions about the Digital Magazine

What is a digital magazine?

A digital magazine is an online publication that is a digital version of a print magazine, a new option Arizona Wildlife Views magazine is proud to announce and offer. Starting now, Arizona Wildlife Views magazine is available as a powerful, new digital version with the same layout and text as the print version. The digital version offers a paper-like reading experience, but with many advantages possible only in this format, including:
• Email notification that your digital version is available.
• The ability to read your magazine anytime, anywhere, via your Internet browser.
• A hyperlinked Table of Contents that takes you directly to the articles, features and sections of most interest to you.
• Quick links to additional editorial content on the Web.
• Enhanced content, such as videos, instructional how-tos, downloadable PDFs and more.
• Keyword search that helps you find a topic or name in seconds.

Does the digital version contain everything in the print version: articles, news and photography?

Yes, the digital version offers you the same great content and the same great design as our print magazine. You won’t miss a single article, news brief or award-winning photograph.

What are the most basic things I need to know to get started?

Subscribe to Arizona Wildlife Views magazine. An email notification that includes a link to the current issue will be sent to you. You will need an Internet connection (either Wi-Fi or direct) to view the magazine. Download the latest version of Adobe Flash software (PC or Mac). Click on the link and enjoy.

Once I have the magazine open online, what tips and tricks do I need to know?

If you are viewing the magazine on your desktop or laptop computer, you will need to know how to move from page to page and how to zoom.

To move from page to page, click on the left and right arrow keys that appear alongside the magazine. Or you can use the navigation buttons (thumbnails) at the bottom of the browser. You can also turn the page by clicking and dragging its corner.

To zoom, click once to zoom IN anywhere on a page of the magazine and once again to zoom OUT. WHEN ZOOMED IN, navigate around the page by clicking and dragging the page.

You can also click on the help icon (circle with (?) inside) in the reader toolbar on the left side of the publication. It will tell you how to navigate through the publication.

Do I have to flip through the entire magazine to reach an article I want to read?

No. All page numbers are “live” in the Table of Contents and will take you to the page once you click on the page number. All Web links also are “live” and will take you to additional editorial content on the Web.
