Skeet Commissioner's Cup - April 27, 2013

On April 27, 2013 the Arizona Scholastic Clay Target Skeet Championship was held at the Tucson Trap and Skeet Club.  It was a beautiful day with clear skies and very warm weather.  Temperatures approached the 100 degree mark for the first time this year.  Shooters participated on 11 skeet fields for this 100 target event.  Squads of three shooters were compiled to compete for the Arizona SCTP Championship within their division.  Every athlete also competed for the Individual Championship of SCTP.  More than 225 shooters attended this event with attendance from clubs as far as Lake Havasu and the White Mountains.  We had some great scores and even 99 out of 100.  The best team score was 291 out of 300. This programs success hinges on the support of parents and the many volunteer coaches.  As always the department would like to thank all of those families for assisting with another great event.  The scores are posted below by each division and congratulations to everyone!  This was the last major shoot of the 2013 SCTP season which caps another great and safe season.

Fun Shoot Ben Avery January26-27, 2013

This reguraly scheduled Fun Shoot was moved to a two day shoot because of a recrod number of registered athletes.  This shoot received 360 pre-registered athletes. The rain was in full force all weekend which brought the actual number of shooters down just a little bit.  It also caused a cancelation of Sporting Clays.  This still was the biggest shoot in Arizona SCTP history.  Below are the results from the shoot.
