Volunteers play a critical role in the Department’s mission to conserve and protect the state’s more than 800 species of wildlife! Last year, volunteers donated over 100,000 hours to support Arizona’s wildlife and wild places.

Shooting Range Support
Promote range safety, build targets and help with maintenance projects at shooting ranges.

Education
Share your knowledge and expertise as an instructor. We have diverse opportunities including on the topics of wildlife, hunting, trapping, fishing, boating safety and off-highway vehicles.

Community Outreach
Increase awareness of the Department’s mission in your community.

Wildlife Conservation
Restore habitats, count and observe wildlife and help with project improvements on ranches to help wildlife thrive.

Send Water
Help deliver life-saving water to wildlife by checking water levels and building, repairing or filling water catchments.

Watchable Wildlife
Bats, bighorns and bison! Help with up-close wildlife experiences.

Scholastic Programs
Teach future generations archery or clay target shooting skills through the National Archery in the Schools Program or Scholastic Clay Target Program.

Wildlife Care and Transportation
Help transport desert tortoises to their adopted home or care for animals.

Construction and Maintenance
Help maintain vehicles and build or repair facilities, fences and trails.
