As
part of the commitment to implementing recommendations
of the Bird Conservation Plan, the Arizona Bird
Conservation Initiative (ABCI) annually announces
the availability of State Wildlife Grant and Heritage
funds for bird conservation work. Projects should
address specific priority actions as identified
in the Bird Conservation
Plan. The plan identifies priority species
and habitats, and establishes objectives for bird
populations and habitats in Arizona.
Apply for an ABCI Grant
(application deadline is September 14, 2009)
The Arizona Bird Conservation Initiative (ABCI) and The Arizona Game and Fish Department are pleased to announce the availability of State funds for bird conservation work, and hereby requests grant proposals. Proposals should address specific priority actions as identified in the Arizona Partners in Flight Bird Conservation Plan (APIF Plan). The APIF plan identifies priority species and habitats, and establishes objectives for bird populations and habitats in Arizona.
