The Arizona Game and Fish Department will hold the next statewide mountain lion workshop August 28 in Phoenix. The department is preparing a draft revised protocol for mountain lion management actions in urban settings based upon public input from the May 1 Tucson mountain lion workshop. The department will be seeking public input on these changes, and on the broader issues of urban mountain lion encounters (research needs, public information and education needs, funding, and legislative approaches to address wildlife-human conflicts).
If you have questions, call Dana Yost at 602-942-3000.
