Southwestern Bald Eagle Management Committee

In 1984, the Southwestern Bald Eagle Management Committee was formed to coordinate bald eagle conservation efforts across diversely managed lands of different agencies and Native American tribes in Arizona. Meeting twice a year, the Southwestern Bald Eagle Management Committee provides a forum for communication, oversight, and information sharing among representative agencies. While the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Arizona Game and Fish Department are jointly responsible for the regulation and management of threatened, endangered, and migratory species in Arizona, the other members play significant roles in implementing policies and management for the protection and restoration of the bald eagle.

More information on the Southwestern Bald Eagle Management Committee can be found on the Southwestern Bald Eagle Management Committee’s webpage.
