Project Evaluation Program (PEP)

The Project Evaluation Program’s objective is to facilitate the incorporation of fish and wildlife resource needs or features in land and water development or management programs in Arizona.

Diagram: The project evaluation process [PDF, 547kb].

The Project Evaluation Program provides policy, technical, and environmental law compliance guidance and oversight, and coordinates the Arizona Game and Fish Department's review of internal and external policies, plans, and projects affecting fish and wildlife resources in Arizona.

- PEP's approach to determining impacts to fish and wildlife resources.
- We review federal, state, municipal, and private land use projects and policies that may impact wildlife and fisheries in Arizona.
- There is no cost for Department review of projects.
- Simple projects can be reviewed in one month; complex projects may require more review time.
