The Wildlife Conservation Fund (WCF) grant program received 28 applications with a total of $300,000 in grant funding available. The Department awarded the following nine projects:
- WCF09004 - Integral Ecology Research Center, for the project Borderlands Jaguar Detection Project. The award is in the amount of $30,000.
- WCF09005 - Wildlife for Tomorrow Foundation, for the project Creating Community Nature Tourism. The award is in the amount of $9,000.
- WCF09006 - Arizona Board of Regents, University of Arizona, for the project Habitat requirements of California black rails, Yuma clapper rails, and western least Bitterns: an adaptive management approach. The award is in the amount of $58,926.
- WCF09008 - Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area Corporation, for the project Yuma East Wetlands 21.5 Acre Projects. The award is in the amount of $49,845.
- WCF09017 - Quail Unlimited Chapter #804, for the project Mesquite (Prosopis spp.) Bosque Restoration within the Historic Floodplain of the Lower Colorado River. The award is in the amount of $5,439.
- WCF09022 - Arizona Board of Regents, for the project Mountain Lions and Critical Landscape Linkages. The award is in the amount of $58,791.
- WCF09024 - Hohokam Middle School, for the project Project Sharing at Youth Wilderness. The award is in the amount of $3,909.
- WCF09025 - The Nature Conservancy, for the project A landscape study of pronghorn habitat viability and management needs. The award is in the amount of $12,500.
- WCF09027 - Northern Arizona University, for the project Riparian Raptors. The award is in the amount of $68,045.
